I hope you enjoy these videos from our showcase.
I've finished writing a batch of new songs with my guitar ... they're ready for copyright and registration.
I my guitar!
Home School Update: It's still going great. I'm still loving it! Algebra is next .... READY!!! for some numbers!
***Got my braces off**** … on my 15th birthday! Woo-hoo!!! I’m happy and I know my mom, Marcia, is very happy! This has been a 7 year experience!
‘til next time! Gotta run...big rehearsal tonight!
Did a little sight-seeing before the work started…
JRP Birmingham Team … we had a great time at several “boot camps” last fall and winter getting ready for iPOP! We competed with each other, and against each other during iPOP!competitions, but still encouraged and supported each other… that’s what friends do….right? Should I tell you now that competition was stiff? Oh ye-ah!
Evelyn (Oneonta, Alabama) and I were paired together during “boot camp” and did an audition situation-scene together. Fun to work with. We made each other laugh and it was hard to stay focused without breaking up!
Ethan and MaryJustice
Ethan (Addison, Alabama) carried away almost all the top male awards! He went to boot camp at first just to act, but when Whitney saw him she said modeling, modeling! He did and he won! He and his mom, Kathy are like family now.
I was blessed to place in the top ten in iSING! and top ten in TV Commercial/Beauty! Got 8 singing callbacks and two acting callbacks.
Chris Brochu
Chris was an iPOP! “staffer” and helped contestants line up, etc. He helped me with my guitar…
He said he does “silly” better than smiling in pictures … works for me!
This elegant dessert served at the awards banquet was yummy. In fact the whole trip and experience was yummy! I’m ready to go back! Back to school and rehearsals!
Hey, everybody, I'll be in Nashville tonight at The World Famous Nashville Palace singing with a bunch of Huntsville songwriters. If you're in that area drop in from 7 - 8:30 and say "hello!"
~Friday ~ Nov 13 ~
7:00pm – 9:00pm
MaryJustice and Coop have put together a great two-hour show with ***NEW ORIGINAL SONGS*** along with old and new favorites such as “Poncho and Lefty,” and “White Horse.”
Also, joining MaryJustice are The Brewers and The Wild Onion Gang, bringing Southern Gospel and more … Ross and Kim Brewer, Ashley and Brooke Spurgeon and Tony Dalton (The Wild Onion Gang), are all lead singers with featured songs. *** Music by CD… Kim on keyboard … Tony on drums*** Members of different bands, these talented singers and musicians have joined together to entertain you with this iPOP! fundraiser for MaryJustice. Thank you Ken, The Brewers, The Wild Onion Gang and the Coffee Tree Books & Brew for helping to make this happen!
This event is a fundraiser to help cover the cost for MaryJustice going to Los Angeles, CA, in January, to compete at iPOP! All tips thrown into the tip bucket at the door, go toward payment for the cost of the trip.
Please tell everyone you know. If you can't come, maybe someone else will be able to. It will be lots of fun!
The Coffee Tree Books & Brew is a locally owned and operated business with a wonderful menu, including fabulous coffees, lattes, mochas, espressos, etc. On behalf of MaryJustice, Ken Cooper, Ross and Kim Brewer, and The Wild Onion Gang, we look forward to seeing you there!
