The Basement!! Fayetteville, TN

The Basement in Fayetteville, Tennessee, is an awesome place! You can hang out, play games, get snacks go to bible study, meet new people and be entertained. Awesome stage, lighting, special effects and terrific sound system. Awesome, wholesome place for teens and young adults to meet, hangout and have a good time!

I had a wonderful time last Saturday night. What an honor to be invited to open for Brittany Smith and to also share the stage with Estoria. Both awesome Christian bands. They ROCK!!!!

Update!

Just a quick note to give you an update. It rained without ceasing last Friday night, but I still enjoyed performing for the Magnolia Festival in Gardendale, AL. I was so pleased to see family members there. Thank you for coming out in the cold, blowing rain to support me! We had a surprise visit by my GRAND Cousin Mildred Barnes.  So good to see you. 

On Saturday night, it rained going to Nashville and coming home, but I had a wonderful time at the Pavilion in a round with Russ David and Kevin Reese of Re-Generation Ministries. If you live anywhere near the Pavilion in Madison, TN, I recommend you check it out. Awesome is all I can say. It's a Christian coffee house and it is beautiful!

I'm so pleased that Brittany invited me to join her and ESTORIA... Come join us for a great show!

Friday Magnolia Festival!! Gardendale, AL Saturday Pavilion!! Madison, TN

FRIDAY MAY 3rd - 6:00PM

I'll be on the WDJC stage at 6:00 PM on Friday. If you are in the area or traveling I-65 in or out of Birmingham stop in at the festival. Lots to do and the kids will enjoy it. Three stages of continuous music for two days! Stop by to  see me. I would love to meet you!

Killions Radio Cafe - Columbia, Tennessee

Last Saturday night, I had a wonderful time singing with my songwriter friend, Russ David of Nashville, at Killions Radio Cafe in Columbia, Tennessee. We were invited to this "gig" by Tabitha Smith, also of Nashville. On the way from Huntsville to Columbia, Tabitha called to say she would not make it and for us to carry on! Her husband, Casey, was in a car wreck on his way home from work and she needed to be with her family. We are so thankful that Casey is okay! The car did not fare so well. Casey is a Nashville policeman! Shout out to Casey, "Thank you for your service to your community!" We missed Tabitha but despite the setback had a good show and made some new friends. That's always a good thing!

Killions is awesome! 

We sang before a live audience ... broadcast live on 910 AM "The Duck" ... and broadcast on the internet!

We were invited back for another show at Killions and look forward to doing a show with Tabitha.

The three of us will do set together at the Huntsville Songwriter's Round on May 24th at Emma's Tea Room. So if you are in the area come join us. And, by-the-way, we always seem to play at places with awesome food!

Catching Up Again!

I had a wonderful time at Jack Scott's Writers Showcase at Hotel Indigo last Tuesday with fellow songwriters Russ David and Andrew Velez. I  always meet so many wonderful people there! More about that later :) ....Then.... on Saturday... I got a call from Cj Watson to come back to Nashville for his songwriters showcase at Hotel Indigo on Saturday night. I was on at 10:00 and once again met some wonderful songwriters. Cj Watson is playing the Jim Parker Songwriter Series at the VBC Playhouse in June and is bringing my friend,  Genesis Elexis Green, to open the show! Don't miss this one!

So as promised, last Tuesday at Hotel Indigo I met Tabitha Smith of Smith and Wilson. Tabitha and I met via ReverbNation and she came to Hotel Indigo so we could meet and get acquainted. It was so nice to meet Tabitha. She and her husband were missionaries in China for five years and came home after her son was born. Tabitha is a Christian songwriter.

Tabitha has so generously invited me to join her for a show at Killians Radio Cafe in Columbia, TN. I'm excited about this. We'll perform in front of a live audience while airing live on Fox Sports Radion WMRB 910. So you have three opportunities to hear our 2 hour show on April 27th starting at 6:00PM. Live in the cafe! On the radio! On the Internet!

Hotel Indigo - April 9th 6:30

Hey Guys! I hope you read the previous blog about my Writers Round at Hotel Indigo on April 9th at 6:30. I have invited as my guests, fellow songwriters Russ David 

and Andrew Velez.

Russ is from Texas and relocated to Nashville about three or so years ago. Russ writes mainly Christian music. We met at the Nashville Palace right after he moved to Nashville and kept in touch with each other. He invited me to join him in a set at James Breedwell's Songwriter Round at Dave and Busters. I had an awesome time and met some new writers.

Andrew is from Huntsville and starting singing in music theater and playing guitar when he was very young. He is an awesome songwriter, musician who left Huntsville and headed to Nashville when he was 18. He has a band that is kept busy. He does country (a mean Johnny Cash medley of tunes), rock and roll old time favorites, and his originals. Andrew makes it back to Huntsville to perform when his schedule allows and is so wonderful to "show up" when I have a showcase. He has done several benefits with me and we've done duets and some rounds at The Commodore Grill in Nashville. He's sort of like a big brother and I do appreciate him so much.
